The Role of the Prophets: A Zaidi Perspective

There is a link between the Prophets,a just society, and Divine Justice, writes a scholar from Imam Rassi Society:

The role of prophets was multifold. They served as living, breathing visual representations of the Creator reaching out to His creation.
One of the prophetic functions was to perfect and correct concepts of the Deity that were subsequently coloured by human frailties and weaknesses.
Some human beings brought the Divine to their level by ascribing lowly attributes that robbed Allah of His Transcendence, others tried to elevate themselves to the level of the Divine by promoting themselves as Sovereign entities that subjugated the masses by “Divine Right”.
The prophets came as heralds, to free the minds of the masses from these gross travesties of human invention. They utilized many creative means to instruct the masses in the Divine realities, by affirming the Divine attributes. They also “spoke truth to power” in order to remind despotic leaders that their earthly power and authority does not denote an ounce of Divine power; even a bothersome fly could unseat a king.
One of the functions of the prophets was to establish justice. It is not enough to exercise the individual human soul with sublime concepts but leave him to fend for himself in a chaotic society. It is rather the role of a teacher to make sure that the learning environment is suitable for the mental and spiritual development of the student. Likewise, prophets fought to establish just societies in their immediate locales. The establishment of justice also served as a material paradigm of Divine Justice; meaning that if a human despot would be improper, then a Divine despot would be even more improper.

    I don't know if Zaidi Muslims believe in infallibility of any Imam except for Ambiya wa Rusl. But I hope you don't share this concept with Twelver Shi`as who believes that A'immah are better than Ambiya wa Rusl and with their infallible "Hidden Imam" for over 1200 years which is fiction and fabricated for the sake of upholding their religion for political desires. I'm glad Zaidi Muslims didn't end up with such Mullah's like Twelvers, they fabricated A'immah to fit the hadith of "Twelve Amirs/Caliphs" form Quraish and when the 11th Imam didn't have a son this was a huge problem for them and hence the fabrications and contradictions. I don't ask you to read all the arguments and texts of the brother but just look at the narrations and ponder upon the 12th hidden fictive fabricated non-existent Imam of Twelver Shi`as in their own books and writings of scholars:

    Regarding the doctrine of infallibility ('isma) of the imams: the Zaidi view is that the only non-fallible human beings other than the Prophets and Messengers are the Companions of the Cloak: 'Ali, Fatima, al-Hassan, and al-Hussein, peace be upon them all.

    We say this not only because of the verse of purification (Q. 33:33), but also because of various authentic hadiths. For example, the Prophet said about them collectively: ((I am at war with whomever they are at war with and I am at peace with whomever they are at peace with)); about Fatima az-Zahra, peace be upon her: ((I am angry with whomever she is angry with...)); about Ali ((O Allah help those that help him and be at enmity with those who are at enmity with him)).

    Such hadiths show that the Companions of the Cloak, peace be upon them, will not randomly fight or make war with someone who the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, would not make war with. And those who the Prophet makes war, Allah makes war with!

    Does this mean that if Sayyida Fatima, peace be upon her, gets upset at someone for something trivial, Allah will be mad at that person?! This must mean that she (as well as the other Companions of the Cloak) will only get angry for the sake of Allah! If this is the case, this would mean that they are protected from such errors.

    I have no problem in believing that Allah Most High protects Sayyiduna and Maulana 'Aliy ibn Abi Talib, Sayyidah Fatima al-Zahra and Sayyiduna al-Hasan and al-Husain from sinning although they can make mistakes. I mean, it is Allah Most High who protects them from sinning and He does however He wishes. I'm glad, in sha Allah we, Ahl al-Sunnah, can unite with Shi`as and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt like you as opposed to Twelver Shi`a rawafidh. Maybe you will find this interesting; Ahmad al-Katib who studied at Hawza and was a staunch missionary for Twelver Shi`a denied the existence of 12th Imam and Imamate doctrine in the way they believe due to his deep research in the matter and pursuit of the truth instead of sectarian agenda's:
